If you’ve always dreamed of having a personal Pilates instructor right at your finger tips… welcome to the good life my friend! I know you’re busy hustling all day long with work, family and social life, all while trying to take care of you. I’m here to make that a lot easier.
Thousandfold Lotus is a little piece of internet space, my virtual studio, if you will, for those who love Pilates and mindful movement. If you’re into implementing intelligent exercise and a positive vibe into your healthy lifestyle this is a great place for you to hang!
I’ve started this blog because I looove to teach, and there is a TON of information that I want to share with you. I believe you too can have a strong core, supple spine, and star-like swagger, I’ll show you the way!
Although my kinesthetic roots lie in Pilates, I appreciate incorporating the static stretch, arm balances and meditative aspect of yoga into my teaching style, so don’t be surprised when the yogini vibes show up- hence the name Thousandfold Lotus 😉
I’m Adrianne, the instructor behind this virtual studio & healthy living platform. After 10 years teaching in the industry, I have studied and pursued a variety of exercise formats and philosophies. At the end of the day, I have always stuck to Pilates because it is absolutely. the. BEST! I truly believe Pilates is the most efficient, effective and biomechanically sound way to train the body.
The education, certifications & experience I have acquired over the past decade have shaped my unique teaching style. It all began with a degree in Exercise Science from Longwood University. Once I graduated, I continued to seek specialized certifications from the following companies: NSCA (CSCS), STOTT Pilates, Yoga 200hr RYT, TRX, Zenga and Barre. Although I have a lot of education and experience under my belt, I will always consider myself a student, welcoming the opportunity to learn and evolve in my own practice and as an instructor.
While I’m not consumed by Pilates and yoga, you can find me by the beach! I keep my toes in the sand where I reside, in southern California. While I’m not beach’n it, my biggest hobby is skydiving- indoor and out. I’m currently working on taking my Pilates to the sky in a discipline called freestyle! It’s so much fun and super challenging 🙂
